Yikes…this sounds like the beginning of a horror movie.

It’s hard enough to have to deal with a creepy neighbor when you live with other people, but if you’re all by yourself…?

That’s when things can get potentially get really frightening.

The woman who wrote today’s story is dealing with a neighbor who is scaring her…and now her husband is about to leave her alone for a while.

Take a look at what she had to say about this.

Advice for woman about to live alone being harassed.

“My husband (M30) and I (F30) have lived in my home for over three years.

I bought it in 2023. My neighbor has rented his house from his brother for a long time. We have been cool since we moved in. My neighbor is quite emotionally immature for a man in his 50s and is a high-functioning alcoholic.

It’s been an up-and-down relationship.

Despite this, we have maintained a friendship over the years and while he has gotten angry at us for some silly things (he didn’t like how one of our friends looked at him, we didn’t invite him to a party one time, things like that) we have always gotten over them.

A few weeks ago, he started blowing up my phone at work saying I needed to give back a dog bowl he gifted us when we got a dog a year ago, and accused me of throwing things over his fence, and then my husband texted me saying our neighbor was freaking out and screaming and yelling in his yard when my husband was walking to his car.

He couldn’t tell what he was saying so he wasn’t sure it was to him, so he got into his car and went on about his business. Our neighbor then began to blow up his phone as well with similar things, and accused us of being liars and manipulators and just really rude things in general.

This guy was coming unglued…

We eventually just said we were not going to respond anymore until he calmed down. When I got home, I was out front checking on my garden bed and he was leaving his driveway and he stopped his car in front of my house and just stared at me in an intimidating way for about 5-10 seconds until speeding off.

Since then, he has pulled my husband aside and tried to convince him (obviously to no avail) that I am a horrible person, that I have lied and pretended to be his friend for months and actually can’t stand him.

That I am a manipulator (because I wasn’t sure if I recognized someone from a 60 foot distance, was his reasoning), and I am biased toward Chaldeans (he is Chaldean and has said horrible things about Muslim people recently, which I have vehemently disagreed with, which in his mind makes me biased toward Chaldeans since I am not against Muslim people).

Last weekend, he called the police on a party we had for my husband who is going away for his Master’s degree, which they did not even approach my property because we were not being loud.

What was this neighbor gonna do next…?

Then around midnight he came out and started screaming expletives, insults, and derogatory terms at us and our 4 friends who were in the backyard talking. Since then, he has harassed us every time he has seen us outside, yelling the same expletives (screw you, white ugly skank, you have no respect, shut up”, etc etc at both of us).

This morning around 8 am, my husband was taking the trash out, and he stopped his car in front of our house again and yelled “You guys need to move” and then sped away.

When he came back, he noticed our window was open in the front and started laughing and said “Life’s getting harder now, huh?” as he went inside, and then started playing really loud music and making as much noise as possible (playing a drum, whooping, whistling, clapping, yelling).

She’s justifiably nervous about this…

My husband is moving to start his program in 5 days, and I will be living here alone. I am getting security cameras installed next week, but I am fearful of what he will do.

He is a very large man with a violent criminal history.

I am not sure what to do right now.”

Well, she needs to take some kind of action…

No doubt about it!

This guy legitimately sounds dangerous.

It sounds like she might need to get a restraining order against her neighbor…
