Imagine getting upset at a neighbor because they had the audacity to put up a basketball hoop to have fun with their kids…

Doing that is as American as apple pie!

But I guess some people have a serious problem with…a bouncing ball.

The dad who wrote this story talked about why his rude neighbors decided to escalate things with him because he’s been shooting hoops and spending quality time with his friends.

“I recently got handed an anonymous neighborhood complaint about noise from my backyard. I can only assume it’s the neighbor behind our house with a dog.

To make a long story short, I recently bought a basketball hoop and after work, my son and I would go play an hour or two before dinner.

We’ve been making more use of our backyard recently because of it and we have noticed how our neighbor has two dogs that constantly bark through the fence whenever we are out there.

This is nothing new…

Those dogs have always barked whenever we are in our backyard for years. I have never minded it because aside from watering a few plants every few days I’m off to work or inside the house doing other stuff.

But our recent basketball hoop landed us a couple of complaints from the neighborhood and city.

The main reason my family suspects its the neighbors with the dogs is because our cameras caught one of them on the sidewalk in front of our house basically inspecting us just a few days before we got the complaint.

This is really weird…

I have been wanting to file a retaliatory complaint because over the week I have noticed the dogs bark not just when we’re outside but basically when neighbors from other connected houses are also in their backyard.

I know those animals bark and it’s fine and I would be more tolerant about it but if I am getting a noise complain for playing basketball in my own backyard, I think its only fair the city knows about how these dogs seem to be constantly in their backyard, too.”
