Following the rules doesn’t have to be boring.
If only they were kinder, they could have gotten the right directions.
If you try hard enough, you can beat the HOA.

Forcing someone to follow a ridiculous rule often doesn’t go well.
I bet the supervisor will regret that decision for the rest of his life.
