What in the world are some people doing when it comes to parking?
Well, I know one thing for sure…
They’re definitely not paying attention!
And this story proves my point in a major way!
The guy who wrote it took it upon himself to move a stranger’s truck who blocked his driveway and was nowhere to be found.
Read on and see what he had to say about this.
AITA for moving a maintenance worker’s truck that was blocking my driveway?
“This morning I had to get to a doctor’s appointment so I opened the garage and backed out to find that a maintenance worker had completely blocked our driveway with his truck.
We live in a townhome community and this was a contractor who was redoing the siding on one of the units.
Come on, dude…
I figured he was around because he left the rear hatch of his Cadillac SUV wide open, so I searched around the units near our townhome and couldn’t find anyone.
I tried calling the leasing office, but no one answered.
Since the rear hatch was open, I tried the driver side door and it was unlocked which is where I noticed that he left his keys in the ignition.
No harm, no foul, right?
I didn’t want to be late for my appointment so I got in, turned it on and just drove it forward enough to unblock our driveway. I didn’t touch anything else in the car or even shut the rear hatch.
I left and my spouse left soon after to bring our child to daycare. When she got back the worker was now back and replacing some siding, but gave her a really nasty glare thinking that she moved it.
Which I think was uncalled for especially since he was the one who blocked our driveway on a weekday morning and then left his vehicle unattended with the keys left in it.
AITA?”

I personally LOVE this story!
And I’d like to encourage other folks to do something similar, but we all know that these things can sometimes get pretty ugly, depending on who’s involved.
But still, nice work!
Maybe this guy learned a lesson and he won’t leave his car parked there again…
