Demanding $500 from someone you barely know is never the move.
This cashier was completely out of line.
Getting left off the guest list hurts, but getting a personalized “just so you know, you’re not invited” text probably isn’t the upgrade she thinks it is.
Advice only works when someone wants to hear it.
It is really none of her business what she does in her free time.
If her sibling and her friends want to fly by the seat of their pants through life, then so be it. But she’s not going to be there to deal with the mess.
The door stays closed for strangers, and her brother should understand that.
Hopefully corporate takes the complaint seriously.
