You can’t force kids to be close.
This teen couldn’t say no.
He’s finally asking for the bare minimum: to be included, valued, and treated like part of the family.
His ex could learn a thing or two about good parenting.
If no one else is willing to compromise, then she shouldn’t either.
Hopefully next Christmas will be filled with a little more joy and a lot less entitlement.
His feelings are acceptable and totally normal.
The real work ahead is figuring out how to make both girls feel valued.
All this time, her mom might’ve been the evil stepmother.
