If this neighbor had approached this situation calmly, this whole debacle could’ve ended in about thirty seconds.
Ultimately, it’s not really about the grass, it’s about the principle of the thing.
Maybe the neighbor needs a visible line to see that the driveways aren’t for sharing.
This is the neighbor’s problem to solve.

Imagine putting in a load of laundry and accidentally starting another load of neighborhood drama.
