It sounds like this woman is just being greedy.
Depriving someone of restful sleep should be considered a crime.
But if he really meant to say something nice, he could have phrased it differently.
She needs to apologize to her friend.
It’s probably safer to uninvite her.
Everyone in this story seems awful.
It may seem like a small payback, but I’m sure it saved her a few years in therapy.
He gave her a reality check and hopefully (for the sake of her relationships), she’ll never do this again.
They need to improve their communication.
