Sir Patrick Stewart is Fostering a Rescued Pit and the Two of Them are Adorable
To encourage adoption (#AdoptDontShop) and fostering (#fosteringsaveslives) Sir Patrick Stewart recently took in a rescued pit bull named Ginger and they’re kind of hitting it off.
When Patrick Met Ginger
The 76-year-old recently revealed on Conan that Ginger is the first dog he’s had in over 50 years!
Stewart, along with his wife Sunny Ozell, have been sharing their time with Ginger on social media and his fans are loving every minute of the new relationship.
Ginger is enjoying her new environment. The poor girl was recently taken in by the Wags and Walks Dog Rescue in Los Angeles after she was saved from a pit bull fighting ring where she was being used as a breeding dog.
According to Vanity Fair, the couple ‘are only fostering Ginger while actively looking for permanent home to take her in. Stewart said he’ll be working with shelters to foster and find homes for more dogs on an ongoing basis.’
