And her friend dried her cup and doesn’t even seem to care.

Even if she really wanted to “help”, her approach would still not accomplish that.
If he does it again, maybe she should talk with him before this gets out of hand.
Hopefully, they will resolve things in a way that works well for everybody.
Her father should at least be understanding of that.
The fountain is theirs, too.
Even if he was right, his approach was wrong from all angles.
If he finally puts two and two together, that is.
She should have read the signs before judging him.
And it was fairly easy, since they were lying to people without even flinching.
