Clearly, her feelings are hurt.
Accountability is an underrated quality to have in a friend.
Saying no here isn’t about the money. It’s about finally letting consequences catch up.
Wanting free food from someone you don’t even hang out with is just about as entitled as it gets.
A little practicality isn’t a betrayal of family tradition. Sometimes it’s just common sense.
There is no doubt that her brother (and mother) are in the wrong, but they aren’t going to change.
That would be at least 4 last straws.
