If you want someone to show up, you should make the effort to actually invite them.
She is a teacher. NOT a personal assistant!
Her daughter should choose.
When help has strings attached, it’s better to cut ties.
There’s nothing wrong with this.
Just because you’re related doesn’t mean you have to hang out together.
This mother valued her own time, and no amount of guilt trips or cursing was going to change that.
Don’t tell me what to do.
It’s their day! Let them eat what they want!
If only my biggest problem was being invited to two birthday parties at the same time!
