If her niece made the mess, then she should be the one to clean it up.
At this point, saying no was the only sane thing to do.
No one deserves to be treated like an inconvenience by a friend.
If he really cares this little for her preferences, maybe it’s time to walk out the door for good.
She’s more than willing to be the “fussy mom” if it makes her daughter happy.
No one should be forced to feel like an afterthought on their own birthday.
Maybe next time this driver will think twice before blocking the bike lane… but probably not.
