Protecting ourselves is good, but you gotta at least try some communication.
Here’s my issue: my mom wants to visit as we just bought our first apartment.
She said it’s better if I just stick to my office.

Unless you’re a couple, a child, or just have no other choice, a shared bedroom is generally the wrong way to go.
