I can understand why the parents are upset.
Peace and quiet shouldn’t require this much effort to defend.
So really, they should decide what’s more important to them: everyone being able to attend, or having a fancier event.

He is really holding onto a grudge instead of trying to work on improving himself.
Moving out doesn’t mean leaving the family, but it may mean giving up your standing reservation at the breakfast table.
