I don’t think she was happy about this…

She was wise beyond her years when it came to malicious compliance.
Sometimes a little tough love (and a broken kettle) is just what’s needed to get the point across.
You break it, you buy it!
Hopefully Mom is a good sport.
At least warn them first that they’ll need to replace it if they break it.
This is why we can’t have nice things!
